Mushrooms
Date Posted: 9/1/2010

Mushrooms have been sprouting up throughout the development, all white and at times in very large clusters.  The cause and or the cure for this problem usually associated with too much water which contradicts some of bigger drought problems.  There may be too much water in some areas.

However, mushrooms are a “better” problem than chinch bugs. Drought stressed turf is still the bigger problem. Chinch bugs are attracted to dry areas (weaker areas) in the turf but when rain or irrigation hits these chinch infested areas, it increases their activity to spread.

Trugreen Lawncare will be monitoring the situation.
